MOTOR STARTER & ALARM (MSA) UNIT MODULE

The MSA is the brains of the system.  All starter, alarm, and test remote panels are connected to this location.

Its prime function is to start and stop the hydraulic motor that provides power to the steering gear.  Each box also contains an alarm processing unit (APU) with "fail safe" circuitry.  It has the capacity to signal if trouble should occur.

Housed in a splash proof and corrosion resistant NEMA 4 housing, it contains local start /stop functions, visual indicators and a two position switch. This switch allows for either local or remote control.  Modular construction makes it easier to replace components should the need ever occur.
