A Word about Wagner...
Jastram is often asked to supply spare parts for steering gears, manufactured by former Wagner Engineering Ltd, 40 Gostick Place, North Vancouver, B.C., Canada.

Wagner Engineering went bankrupt in 1989. Some of its key people founded Jastram Engineering Ltd and started designing and manufacturing steering gears as well as servicing and selling replacement parts for old Wagner steering components.

Jastram Engineering Ltd is NOT Wagner Engineering Ltd NOR does it claim the name Wagner.

Service, Retrofit and Commissioning

Service
Jastram service and spare parts are available internationally through our dealers. Jastram also supplies service and spares for other steering equipment manufacturers including the former Wagner Engineering. Many times Jastram is able to replace old product with new product that is "drop in" ready, available off the shelf for less cost than the original   Refer to our product cut sheets for drop in information.

Retrofit
Jastram is often asked to provide complete custom design and manufacturing of components for retrofitting older systems. For these applications Jastram works closely with customers to design a system that makes best use of existing components keeping costs down. Completed retrofit systems meet or exceed current regulatory requirements and customer specifications.

Commissioning
Commissioning and sea trials for new installations are available through our qualified dealer network or by a factory engineer.  Simply indicate that commissioning is required with your request and it will be included in the quotation.

Jastram Engineering Ltd. warrants that all parts sold by Jastram meet or exceed original Wagner's specifications. Where substituted parts are quoted in lieu of obsolete parts*, Jastram warrants compatibility and interchange-ability.

* Obsolete items are parts, which
a) are no longer available from sub-suppliers.
(example: original Vickers hydraulic solenoid valves are not manufactured anymore and are superseded by an updated version)
b) changed due to technical improvements.
(example: original Wagner lock-valve body was made of aluminum, now it is made of cast iron)
